Hello everyone! My name is Tyler Anderson, and I live in Oklahoma. I am honored to serve as the representative for District 5.

A fun fact about me—my Serama journey began in 2021 when I attended my very first tabletop show hosted by the Oklahoma Sooner Serama Council. After watching for just a few hours, I was completely hooked. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to attend shows across the country, including Ohio, Florida, Georgia, and Louisiana.

As District Chair, my goal is to establish and maintain a consistent monthly judging assignment program that gives members regular opportunities to learn, improve, and gain confidence in judging Seramas.

These assignments are designed to support education, encourage participation, and promote a deeper understanding of the Serama standard. By providing a structured and supportive judging schedule, we can strengthen member knowledge, help develop future judges, and contribute to the continued growth and overall quality of the breed.

What exactly does a District Chair do? 

District Chair (DC) – Role Description

The District Chair (DC) serves as the primary leader and coordinator of all District Representatives within the SCNA. Acting as a key liaison, the DC ensures clear, consistent communication between the membership and the Governing Council, representing member interests while supporting the Council’s initiatives and policies.

In addition to overseeing district operations, the District Chair is responsible for developing and facilitating online judging education and virtual show learning opportunities, helping members build knowledge, skills, and confidence in participation and advancement within the organization.

Through leadership, organization, and communication, the District Chair plays a vital role in fostering engagement, education, and alignment across districts and the broader SCNA community. The DC also serves as chair of the Membership Committee.
